Mleko (internationally titled Milk) is a 2017 Polish short drama written and directed by Urszula Morga. Running approximately 15 minutes, the film explores family relationships, emotional conflict, jealousy, and the difficult transition between childhood and adulthood.
Starring Agnieszka Warchulska, Magdalena Maścianica, and Mateusz Więcławek, the story takes place at a lakeside house where a mother and daughter are preparing for an important birthday celebration.
Although its premise appears simple, Mleko gradually reveals a deeper emotional struggle involving family bonds, personal insecurities, and the difficulty of accepting change.

Movie Summary
Ewa takes her daughter Julka to their family house by the lake to prepare for Julka’s eighteenth birthday party. It should be a pleasant occasion marking an important milestone in the young woman’s life.
However, their plans take an unexpected turn when Julka arrives with her boyfriend, Adrian, without telling her mother beforehand.
Ewa immediately disapproves of his presence. She does not welcome the young man and makes it clear that she wants him to leave. Her attempts to get rid of him create an increasingly uncomfortable atmosphere between mother and daughter.
As the situation develops, Ewa’s reaction begins to reveal something deeper than simple parental concern. Her struggle is not merely about accepting her daughter’s boyfriend, but also about confronting her own emotions and the changes taking place in her family.
What begins as a seemingly ordinary disagreement gradually becomes an intimate story about motherhood, independence, and the difficulty of letting go.
